WARM WELCOME TO SRI LANKA! 🇱🇰

“Travel with Jinendhi” On the 26th of July 2025, history was made in Sri Lanka – and in the world. For the very first time, we proudly hosted “A Journey of Care, Joy & Inclusion” for children with Down Syndrome. It was our honor to welcome the distinguished delegation from UP FOR DOWN’S – China Down Syndrome Association 🇨🇳 including Honorary Office Bearers, parents, and children with Down Syndrome, at Bandaranaike International Airport – Katunayake.

"WORLD DOWN SYNDROME CONGRESS IN BRISBANE AUSTRALIA". Dr.K.G Dayaratne - Director (JRCFDS). represented the "Jinendhi Resource Centre for Down syndrome, and our country Sri Lanka. Dr. Dayaratne addressed the congress and was at the headtable. 75 Countries and many DS organisations have joined the 4 day great event. 9th to 12 th july 2024.

JINENDHI RESOURCE CENTRE FOR DOWN SYNDROME SRI LANKA (JRCFDS)

Is a non profit organization established in Sri Lanka in 1995 to exclusively serve the children with Down Syndrome, is the country’s pioneer in the field. Since then it has served the children with Down syndrome in Sri Lanka and built links with similar organizations across the world as there was no organization or group of professionals to address the issues of children with Down syndrome.

VISSION

JRCFDS envisions an environment in which all individuals with Down Syndrome thrive in a caring society.

MISSION

To empower all individuals with Down Syndrome and their families in all aspects of life by influencing policy changes, safeguarding their rights, creating opportunities for quality education, and through research as well as support to other Down Syndrome Associations in Sri Lanka.

Why International Links?

We cannot work alone as we need to exchange experiences, new developments and medical research findings which need to be utilized in promoting the cause of the Sri Lankan Down Syndrome Community and shared with other organisations, government departments, and universities that work for people with Down Syndrome.
