FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE TO EDUCATE SIBLINGS OF A PERSON WITH DOWN SYNDROME.
Its a new vision of the Director, Mr. Gamini Galgamuwa.
Eligibility Criteria:
- The scholarship receivers should be an under graduate in a government university in Sri Lanka. (internal / external / open university)
- The scholarship receiver should be an Indian university under graduate following any one of the degrees:
BASLP – Audiology and Speech Language Pathology./ B. Physiotherapy / BDS (Dental) / B.Sc Food Nutrition and Dietetics./ any paramedical degree - Scholarship receiver’s Sister or brother should be a person with Down Syndrome.
- The scholarships are offered depending on the financial situation of the donor organisation or on our funds for special scholarships (Limited opportunity)
- Scholarship receiver should be willing to join our organisation (our strength). Further willing to serve as volunteers in our programs. Ex. World down syndrome events/ Medical camps etc.
- He or she should promise to look after their brother or sister with down syndrome.
- Monitoring – Scholarship receivers should submit the progress every 6 months directly to the donor organisation and a copy to JRCFDS.

1. DONOR ASSOCIATION.
SRI LANKA WOMEN’S ASSOCIATION IN UK EDUCATION SCHEME

The above association agreed to offer financial assistance to the following two undergraduates for three years of their study periods.
The SLWA in UK sends money directly to the savings accounts of the two undergraduates. JRCFDS will be moniter the project.
